Golden time: Maths and Cupcakes

Every Friday we learn about statistics during maths time.
We have looked at collecting data, tally charts and column graphs.
Today we looked at bar graphs.

First, I gave each child a box of smarties. 
They had to use the colours they had in their box to colour in a bar graph and answer questions from the data they had collected.

We made cupcakes, iced them with purple icing for Lent, and made a cross with our smarties.

They were yummy!
